So much….

of me is the same as it was when I was 7 or 12 or 16.

Do you ever feel that way????

It really occurred to me this weekend when I was with Gina and Sarah.  Things that they said that they remember about me are the same me now…..Like they were talking about how I would FREAK OUT if they made eye contact with anyone while driving and we would need to have our doors locked and our windows up.

Now I’m not that extreme now but I am super careful while driving and I usually just look forward! LOL!!!

This morning I was eating cookie crisp. I know  I know, it’s not the best cereal but here’s the thing.  I am not a breakfast person.

at all.

I never have been.

As a kid, I had the best mama.  Well she still is but she was never the “forcer” like YOU WILL EAT BREAKFAST……she just got that I was not a morning person or a breakfast person.  And when someone, I don’t remember who, was giving my mom a hard time about buying me cookie crisp, she was like, “I’m just glad she’s eating something in the morning!”  That’s my mama!  For a long time, i was in love with Carnation Breakfast Bars and they were a bit expensive but she would buy them for me :)  Brittney would drink Carnation Instant Breakfast and again, that wasn’t a traditional breakfast but she’d buy it for her. 

She would wake me up earlier because I was a slooooow person in the morning.  I would like to take breaks while getting ready and watch Wallace and Ladmo.  And she was good with that.  Until I got too slow and then the threat of the tv going off would be there! 

And now, at 35, I do the same thing!  I slowly get ready over the course of time.  Usually listening to music or sometimes the TV is on or whatever.  I don’t just get ready.

So the moral of this story is two fold----

1.  You still have so much of who you were inside of you.

2.  I have the best MAMA :)
