My Sunday

I've always had this fascination with Sunday's.

It has to be the way I was brought up.

Sunday's always meant church. And bean burros for lunch from the mercado in Guadalupe.

Spending time with sisters and cousins on Sunday afternoons.

And we always had family dinner.

So now, as a grown up, I revere Sundays as family times.

I love driving to my parents and thinking of families in their homes sharing a meal.

On the rare occurrence that I am not with my family on a Sunday, I feel obligated to make a special meal.

I enjoyed my day today.....spent some time getting my nails done, stopping at Hallmark to buy all my sweethearts Valentines. Did some more shopping and then family time.

Went by my Club before coming home tonight and once I got home, walked for 40 minutes.

The picture below was taken by a friend of mine who passed away last year. His photos always told a story ......or at least with my imagination, I could come up with a story. I wonder what family dinners were like in this house?
