Opportunity......

So I was watching the documentary of The Michael Vick Project on BET.

And despite what you know or don’t know about his crimes or what you feel or don’t feel about what he did, he served his time and that is that.

I personally don’t know much about him, I don’t follow football, etc.

But he was talking about how his first job when he got out of Federal Prison was at the Pennisula Boys & Girls Club.

Michael was a Club alumni who began attending the Club at 7 years old. (I didn’t know any of this until this documentary).

His job is to work with the teens and talk about gangs, violence and why you don’t want to go to prison. That was for one hour a day, everyday.

Then he became the janitor and swept and mopped the restrooms, gym etc.

The director of the Club said that he has known Michael his entire life and they (as a staff) discussed the impact he could have on the kids.

And Michael said he was so grateful that the Club gave him another opportunity to better himself.

That’s what we are all about……………..Opportunity.
