The one that won't make me very popular.....

So today, The President of the United States~Barack Obama~came to Arizona State University to deliver the commencement speech for the 2009 graduating class of 9000 graduates.

Now for those of you living elsewhere, let me paint a picture for you..........

It was 100 degrees today.

The stadium is made out of concrete.

So that means at 7:30 pm, when the sun went down..........it was 96 degrees in the stadium.

71,000 people attended the graduation.

9000 graduates.

People who had nothing to do with ASU went to the graduation to see the president.

As a graduate, you only could get 6 tickets.

SIX TICKETS!!!! I have:

PLUS

Okay, give or take a few from above but you get the point.

When I graduate (finally!) I don't want to HAVE TO arrive five hours before the event and stand in the blistering heat waiting.

When I graduate (finally!) I don't want to sit next to girls wearing BIKINIS to their college graduation!

When I graduate (finally!) I don't want to do so with a tomato red face due to the heat of the Arizona Summer.

When I graduate (finally!) I don't want all of the focus and attention to be on the guest speaker. I want it to be on us, the graduates.

So as I am sure this isn't going to make me super popular with the "in" crowd, that's how I feel. And it's my blog. So I can say that!
