Bug Summative.....

SO I was invited to Lexi's fourth quarter Summative and I was ROUND 1 of the tour of family members who were coming through.

What I learned is that Lexi is so fortunate that she's at this amazing school where she's learned SO much! She had antennas for me to wear (and they were big because my head is big, thanks Lex!) and she wore "binnoculars" and we had a checklist of things to see........

She had science projects and math problems and even spanish lessons, all around BUGS! She was part of the "ANT" group so she can tell me all sorts of things regarding ants. Her teacher is very hands on so they released butterflies and planted a garden and created a PODCAST (yes, 5 year olds) who are all about the MAC computers in their classroom........AND she held earthworms and told me that they were not slimy, they were squishy. hmmmm....

I just love her so much and it's amazing to hear her read to me and spell words and her favorite game in the car is for me to give her random words to spell---she loves spelling. Or to give her math word problems.

It was great to go through this with her and an hour later (after completing her homework) she took her mom and dad and brother through the activity :)

It was a good day.........
