randomness about my week---

I procrastinate.

I always have.

Add that to how I don't juggle well (literally and figuratively)----I'm great at doing one thing at a time. Sometimes two.

So imagine when everything comes together for me a week before Christmas.

  • Teen Christmas party was Wednesday night. Oh wait, earlier before that, I rushed over to see Miss Lexi in her first school event ever in her whole life. She sang 2 songs and was able to tell us about all the continents and the oceans and she's 5. It was pretty cool.
(That's Lexi (yeah, you know!) with her boat. She had to test it in the box to make sure it floats)

  • Thursday was the big Christmas party----there is a church who sponsors my Clubhouse so they come in and take care of everything for my kids. It's pretty awesome.

(that's ashley below........she's one of my kids who is just fabulous! Her 15th bday is on Christmas Day! How Cool is THAT?)

  • So then Friday, the first day of Winter Intersession..........we have year round school so my kids are out A LOT. And I spent almost the entire day working with my Youth of the Year Candidate on his packet. It was due on Friday. yes, the same day! and despite everything that is happening with the economy, people were more generous this year than ever before. Thank you, thank you!!!

  • Saturday-----Saturday is the adopt a family delivery day! We did 25 families. Did I mention that I did the shopping for 25 families? Yup. I am quite the shopper. So delivery day is always an amazing thing because the Chandler Compadres (http://www.chandlercompadres.org/) is over 100 men who come with their kids and take all the gifts and food to 25 of my families. So it was a very early day (5am! Remember my feelings on early mornings???) But I don't mind for this...........because I know it's good for my kids!

  • Saturday was also the middle and the end of my shopping. I had a lot to do and now, I am almost done. Need 2 more gifts. whew.

And wait...............stop the presses!!!!!!!!!!!!! While shopping, at the Fossil store, the man said to me, "Mom, if you want to check out the jewlery, it's on sale." And then it hit me---I'm not a mom. And then it hit me again, harder.................THIS GUY THINKS I AM REBECCA'S MOM!!!!!! yeah, that's the 6th time that's happen to me! We are 4 years apart in age and apparently, I look old enough to be my Bestest Friend's mom! SHEESH!

Off to write Christmas cards now! I have two days of work----monday/tuesday. And then, drum roll please.........I am off to have time off.......a vacation. WOOHOO!!! and guess what???I don't return until January 12th. :) :) :)

(Maybe I'll learn how to juggle during the break)
