Oh My GOodNess............First Day of SCHOOL!

I just realized that I didn't tell YOU about my first day of SCHOOL! (Which was Tuesday, by the way for those of you keeping track at home.)

So as you may/may not know........I've been going to school for 321 years. I will graduate from ASU next December with a Bachelors (can you believe that...you would think I was getting my doctorate!) in Interdisceplinary Studies with an emphasis on Small Business and Education.

So I left my house at 1pm for my 1:30 class and had to park 3/4 of a mile away (and it was humid! YUCK!) And this is where my class is...in this new building....
So I get there..............after getting through these huge crowds of people........(What the heck?) When did these people start coming to this school???

(for the record....I didn't take this picture....can you imagine me stopping in a crowd with my digital camera and taking a picture in the humid weather as I walk very fast on my little legs to that new giant building? Yeah, I think not as well!.....but that is a picture of the first day of school at ASU)

Then I get to that new building and my class is on the third floor.........3rd floor........and then you see three flights of stairs. So there I am, walking up 3 flights of cement stairs and I say out loud, "I am tooooo old for this!"...........So now I am huffing and puffing (Goodness I need a treadmill!) and hot and shiny because it's humid and I get to the class (it's 1:27 now) it's taken me almost 30 minutes to get to this class............and now, I get to sit in the front row. Because yes, I am one of the last to show up.

Then, the teacher has us do that whole lame "introduce yourself" speach.........Do I care that Monica loves the Dodgers? Or that Wyatt is from Portland? No............I care that I am hot and shiny and now in the front row so hard to text message my staff and give them directions.

So despite the butterflies in my stomache............those were soon surpassed by the sweat, frizzy hair and tired legs of getting to class.

December 2009 can't come any sooner! :)
