license and what?

As I told you last night, I had a crazy early meeting today so I've been up for almost 22 hours.

I'm driving home from my friend Isabel's house onto campus and I see a car speed up behind me (the campus is pretty quiet right now as it's summer)

And then................the lights come on.

I am literally 6 houses away from my driveway.

ASU police pull me over. Big lights in my face and I've got my hands on 10 and 2 position. Not making a movement.

The officer asks me if I know why he is pulling me over. I tell him no. He asks me the speed limit on valwood (I do not know the street names to ever road on campus). I say 25. He says it's 15! 15!!! Apparently, the whole campus is 15 with a few areas being 25. My face is this:

Then he says license and registration and insurance. I hand him my license and then he asks me why I was "vearing to the side of the road". I said I didn't realize i was doing that. He then asks me........are you ready????

HAVE YOU BEEN DRINKING TONIGHT!!!

mE: nO SIR, i DON'T DRINK AT ALL!

He says: Keep looking! I"ll be back!

So i call Rebecca because she put my tags on my car the other day (just came in) and I had misplaced them twice. She is like SHUT UP! (I'm sure people were blinded by the lights while they tried to sleep at 11pm.)

He gave me my license back and told me to find my other stuff and put it in the car and to drive save the six houses to my house.

He was nice.

I walk in the house and take one look at myself and I look CRAZY! Hair is a mess. Mascara down my face from rubbing my eyes. I was a mess.

No wonder he thought I was a DRUNK!

No ticket is a happy day!
(Registration is now in the car and I have to print a new insurance!)
